Complete freedom is not held in the apology. Complete freedom is held in the act of forgiveness. For when it is your intention to hold this forgiveness sacred in your heart, and soul, and spirit, it is as a key, unlocking the prison door, and you fly, you soar, free, free to be all that you are meant to be, no longer held in place behind the prison door.
And The Holy Spirit says:
Sometimes it falls to you to offer an apology, and each time you have done so, it seems there is something missing from the circle of apology and forgiveness. Sometimes it falls to you to receive an apology, and here too, you will find, many times, it does not seem complete. What is missing? The apology has been offered. It is complete forgiveness that is missing. Freedom is not held in the apology. Freedom, complete freedom, is held in forgiveness. You hold the key to freedom within the act of forgiveness. If you cannot forgive completely, you are still in the prison, the door is still locked. But the very moment you forgive completely, from your heart, this key of forgiveness opens the door, and you are free, once more.
