Whenever those who appear to be puffed-up with arrogance or pride fall, there is the temptation to withhold mercy, or compassion, or even kindness. The tendency is to feel as if they deserved what did come to them. Resist the temptation. Do not add to the weight they must carry as they try to stand-up. Let your heart be open. Do not judge harshly. Love beyond what earthly standards, human standards, would demand. Go beyond that, and if given the opportunity, reach-out your hand, and say, “Here I am. I will support you as you rise-up.”
And The Holy Spirit says:
When someone falls help them rise. Do not join-in the gossip, or the laughter. It is a heavy burden to fall publicly and bear the weight of the conviction of those watching. If you can find kindness upon your heart when another falls, then you will bless the Earth, and you will always walk tall, helping those who fall, no matter who they are, no matter where they have come from, or where they are going. Be merciful, be compassionate, be loving.
