Watch life unfold on a playground, in a park. Watch and see the parent and child arrive together, and sit on a bench for a while, and the parent lovingly leans over, close the child, and stretches out their arms to direct the child to see the beauty all around them, the trees, the flowers, the sky, the sun, the children at play. And, with a bit of encouragement from the parent, the child begins to step away, one step at a time, looking back to make sure the parent is there, then taking another step, and another step, until they are playing, swinging, climbing-up the sliding board, all the while looking back, just to make sure the parent is there, and then play resumes. But, sometimes there is a fall and a scratch, or a push and a shove, or an issue arises over who should play with what, and the child runs back to the parent for comfort, and love, and support, and wise counsel. After a few tears are shed, and a few hugs exchanged, the child begins to separate once more, looking back, and then heading off to join the others at play. You can learn a lot, while observing life unfolding on a playground. And, if you will look, you will see what is unfolding is a story of you and Me.
And The Holy Spirit says:
Even the most reluctant child will soon release the hand of the parent to go out into the world and play the games, and read the books, and learn the lessons of childhood, always looking back for reassurance, always running back for support and counsel. God is your Eternal Parent. You have stepped away from God to move over the Earth, but God is always there. Do not lose sight of this. Do not be afraid, for God is with you, with comfort, support, and wise counsel. Be at peace this day, as you go out to play in the park that is Earth.
