Cabins
Thank you for your interest in scheduling a retreat at The Quiet Place. We are honored you would consider us to host your sacred retreat. At this time we are not scheduling retreats – we are currently in a time of transition. Cecilia is moving towards an exciting new chapter (read her letter here) and The Vistara School will be taking over as custodians of The Quiet Place. (read the letter from The Mocks about this transition here) If you are interested in joining our wait list for future retreats, please click the button below to schedule a retreat and once we begin hosting retreats at The Quiet Place once more, we will contact you regarding availability.
Thank you for your understanding!
The Quiet Place provides a unique, spiritual personal retreat for each guest. Our overnight accommodations offer space for your own special, sacred, communion with God, the Creator, His Son, and the Holy Spirit. God’s guests have a choice of three cabins on our sacred ground for personal spiritual retreats.
Personal Spiritual Retreats at The Quiet Place can be scheduled for just one night or multiple nights. The Quiet Place NC, Inc., is a 501(c)3 Public Charity. To remain self-sustaining, a suggested donation of a minimum $50 per person per night for guests using cabin facilities is requested. If you wish to help support and preserve this sanctuary of peace, additional donations are always welcome.

The Gate House Cabin

Our environmentally conscious cabins allow retreat guests to experience a retreat in close proximity to a stream or waterfall, in the midst of God’s creation, while leaving the smallest footprint possible upon the Earth. Cabins do not have running water but are equipped with self-composting toilets. These are high quality, odorless toilets where the end product is peat moss. Each cabin is also equipped with a water dispenser providing water that is either cold or hot enough to make a warm tasty coffee or tea, hot chocolate, or cider.
The main house is open to all guests. It offers a flush toilet and shower facility. Guests are welcome to use the restroom, enjoy playing the piano or perusing the books on the library shelf. Hearty country meals are served to guests in the main house. An assortment of coffees, teas, cider, hot chocolate, fruits, snacks, and breakfast items are provided in each cabin.
