Be careful that you do not allow your senses to become dull. Too much input dulls your senses. If you are constantly exposed to noise—to talk, to music, to loud noises—then your ears can become dull. If you are constantly exposed to many different sights—constantly watching something—then your eyes become dull. If you are tasting something continually, then your taste becomes dull. Your senses need a rest so that they can be renewed. Just as your body and your mind needs to rest, so your senses need a rest. Your senses are important for they tell you about your environment. They are there to help keep you safe. They are there to inform you. But today, I wish for you to know that your bodily senses are connected to your spiritual senses. The two are intertwined. If you are filling up your senses with too much noise, too much taste, viewing too many things, then your spiritual senses become dull also. Do not allow your senses to become dull. Give them a rest. Take some time in silence. Take some time to fast. Take some time in nature and view creation. In this way, your senses will become sharpened, and you will become more sensitive also to the spiritual. You will be better able to hear my voice. You will be better able to sense my presence. You will be better able to see my hand at work all around you.
And the Holy Spirit says:
Sit in silence today. Close your eyes, and sit in silence. Go within, and tune into my presence within you. Listen for my voice. Wait for my touch. Tune out the world, and sit with me. When you do this, you will rise up with a peace in your heart and a new knowing of your path. Come. I AM waiting.
