        There is more to prayer than reciting a litany of need and want.  And that “more” is silence, listening, hearing what I wish to say to thee.  Recall a day, or night, when you were either sitting, or walking, with one you love dearly.  There will always come a time when neither of you speak.  There comes the time of silence, a comfortable pause in the use of words, which most often do not adequately describe what is within your heart.  It is during those times when the two of you are experiencing love, for each other, to such depths that rudimentary words fail to fulfil your longing to express your love, one for the other.  So, there comes the silence.  And in the silence, two hearts speak, one to the other, and union is birthed in spirit, the spirit that is in each of you.  You reach for each other’s hand, and you feel the pulse of life, within the physical body.  But your hearts have already spoken wordless love poems, created within the spirit, and they are united, as one.  Tears might gently roll down your cheeks.  Quiet laughter might serve as recognition that the experience is shared, physically and spiritually.  This is how I wish for you to come to Me, with body and spirit.  And in the union, enfolding the tenderness of tears and quiet laughter, We are One.

 And The Holy Spirit says:

           And so it is when you are sitting, in silence, with God, and the experience is of The One, when all things are realized, and there is union in The One.
